The Apple and Parrot Torquay opened in March 2010 and has been a huge success both in raising the bar for live music in the bay and in providing a unique Harbour side premises, a traditional Cider bar!

Chris the Landlord and his team work very hard to bring the best live bands and artists to the Apple and Parrot and that is only the start! They pride themselves on not only a high standard of service but lots of personality behind the bar. They want you to experience the best pub atmosphere that there is and that starts with the highly trained staff. They are experts in all different types of alcoholic drinks and will be happy to recommend something suited to your tastes.

The pub is warm and comfy and is designed to be familiar and inviting. It specialises in ciders and currently has 13 both on draught and bottled and the offering is growing all the time! Cheddar Valley ‘Diesel’, Black Rat, Cornish Rattler, Thatcher’s and Weston’s Old Rosie to name but a few!

The Apple and Parrot also has some excellent real ale, Hunters Pheasant Plucker, Bays Gold and Bays Devon Dumpling, Lyme Bay fruit wines and a huge selection of classic, premium and super premium spirits. You are certain to find something that appeals to your tastes.

Make sure when you stop by to say hello to Jack. He is an African Grey Parrot! He lives at the pub and is a real character. He loves a monkey nut or two and sometimes can be found having a wander down the bar during the day! (If you do stop to say hello we ask politely that you don’t feed him or put your fingers in his cage as he is on a special diet and might give you a nip!)

The pub is located on Torquay’s famous harbour-side and is open all year round. The entertainment schedule is jam packed with live music from Wednesday to Saturday. The Sunday Night Projects have everything from Pig Racing to Pub quizzes and the Apple and Parrot also plays host to one off music and entertainment events throughout the year on top of our regular schedule!
